What does POS mean?
POS stands for Point of Sale — the counter where a sale is completed. A POS system replaces a calculator and paper receipt book: it looks up the product, applies discount and tax, takes payment, prints the receipt and updates your stock in the same step.
Can one sale be paid with more than one payment method?
Yes. A single sale can be split across multiple methods — part cash and part bKash, for example. The screen tracks the remaining balance and will not close the sale until the full amount is covered.
How does end-of-day cash reconciliation work?
Each shift runs as a session. You open the register with a starting cash amount, record cash in and cash out during the shift, then close with a counted amount. The Z-report and session report show expected versus counted cash and every transaction in between.
Does the POS check stock before completing a sale?
Yes. Stock is validated in real time against the selected warehouse, so the counter cannot sell something the warehouse does not have.
